Cantablenews: Chelsea's 31-year-old striker is set to leave for Paris, hoping to replace him in the squad
Chelsea’s star forward, Cesc Fàbregas, has reportedly been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) following his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring this summer.
Fàbregas, who joined Chelsea from Valencia in 2010, has scored an impressive 54 goals in 98 appearances for the Blues, including a hat-trick against Manchester United in the Champions League last season.
However, there have been reports that Fàbregas could be leaving the club and joining PSG ahead of the 2026/27 season.
It remains to be seen whether Fàbregas will stay at Chelsea or join PSG, but it seems that he is not going to miss out on another chance to win the Premier League title.
In a recent interview with The Sun, Fàbregas said: "I am very happy to be staying here, but I’m also really looking forward to playing for PSG."
The 31-year-old striker has made a significant impact at Chelsea since joining in 2010, scoring more than 100 goals in 128 appearances for the Blues over his career.
He was named as one of the best strikers in Europe by Goal.com in their annual Player of the Year poll in 2019.
Despite his success, Fàbregas has struggled to find the back of the net at the Etihad Stadium, scoring just 10 times in 52 appearances for the Blues so far this season.
With his goal count falling well below his previous levels, Fàbregas is likely to be considered one of the targets for PSG if they are able to sign him in the transfer window.
As of now, it remains to be seen whether Fàbregas will be able to make the jump to PSG and continue to contribute to the team's success, or whether he will look elsewhere for his next challenge.
